Quelle Rox is a Puerto Rican-Cuban singer, songwriter, and producer based in Brooklyn. Her music blends dream pop and psychedelic soul with soft, lush vocals and jazzy influences, while her cheeky lyrics add humor to her blues. Moving naturally between English and Spanish, she describes her music as “Spanglish bops to cry to and vibe to”, exploring heartbreak, being the other woman, loneliness, anxiety, and depression.

Raised in South Florida, Quelle grew up surrounded by Miami’s Latin culture and the music her mom loved playing through the house. She’s especially drawn to Billie Holiday, both for the loneliness in her songs and the glamour surrounding them. That love of romance and melancholy carries into Quelle’s world of deep reds, pink satin, and leopard print, where her love of vintage glamour sits comfortably alongside her self-described chonga roots.

After studying at New York University, Quelle began producing her own music in Ableton. Her first self-produced song, “Cosmic Gloom,” recorded in her bedroom, has garnered 2.7 million streams on Spotify alone. She made her live debut in 2019 opening for Homeshake at Baby’s All Right, and has since built her audience as an independent artist.

Her latest singles, “Mujer de Nadie,” “Así Soy Yo,” and “Honest Clown,” lead into her forthcoming project, bringing a lush, more romantic feel to her sound. Throughout these songs, she returns to the blues, dressing up journal-like lyrics into moments of dreamy romance and glamour.
